Cycling Gear Woes
I started spinning this winter. My body felt like it needed a kick in the aerobic pants, and one of my friends wanted us to ride together this summer. You would think that a bike, a bike pump and a lock (the latter two scavenged from friends) would be enough. The list of gear I’ve bought to just get out on the road keeps adding up:
* Bike shorts
* New helmet
* Water bottle holder
* Tools to fasten on water bottle holder
* Tire repair kit
* Tire levers to wrench tires back on
I still have not acquired baskets for my pedals, or a pouch to hold all my new tools. I’m eying cycling shoes and clip-in pedals. If I get really serious, there’s a new bike. Nobody said my new hobby was cheap.
But I had no trouble purchasing a light windbreaker. Nope, zero trouble with this purchase. The mesh back made me do it. The Wild Jacket is on sale right now at lululemon.com for $79.
